Last Friday was no ordinary night at the Porsche dealership. The team at Adam's Scalextric Events had the privilege of setting up at the stunning Porsche Centre Wolverhampton for an evening of high-octane fun, music, and celebration.

Surrounded by automotive history - from the legendary red and white #23 Le Mans winner to the cutting-edge Formula E Safety Car - we brought a little miniature racing magic to match the horsepower in the room.

The track goes into a tunnel through a white, rocky mountain. A digital leaderboard screen is in the background. A sign for "Adam's Scalextric Events" is visible.

A Custom "Porsche Pass" Experience

We pride ourselves on attention to detail, and for this event, we went all out. We created a bespoke, winter-themed circuit that looked right at home next to the sleek lines of the real Porsches.

The track featured snow-dusted mountains, alpine trees, and custom signage. We even installed a custom "Porsche Pass" road sign, marking the elevation at 2284m and pointing the way to both the Porsche headquarters in Stuttgart (367 km) and the dealership in Wolverhampton (242 km). It’s these little touches that turn a slot car track into an immersive experience.

The Atmosphere

The vibe in the showroom was electric. The night kicked off with speeches and live music, setting the stage for a great social gathering. But as soon as the lights on our digital leaderboard flickered on, the competitive spirits came out!

Guests were eager to test their skills on the "Coin Cutter Corner" and navigate the snowy tunnels. The digital lap timer kept everyone honest, tracking the Green, Yellow, Orange, and Red 911s down to the thousandth of a second.

Behind it, a man holds a microphone and speaks from a small black stage, accompanied by a band. A large screen behind the stage displays racing footage, and an audience stands nearby watching the presentation.
A legendary backdrop for a race night. The iconic #23 Le Mans winner took center stage at Porsche Centre Wolverhampton as the evening kicked off with speeches and live music.

The Main Event: Racing for the Bear

While bragging rights are always great, the stakes for this race were significantly higher. Porsche Wolverhampton put up an incredible prize for the fastest lap of the night: a stunning blue ride-on Porsche, complete with a co-pilot Porsche Teddy Bear!

The competition was fierce as guests tried to shave seconds off their times to take home the prize. Watching grown adults intensely focus on hitting the apex to win a ride-on car was definitely the highlight of the evening.

A huge thank you to Porsche Centre Wolverhampton for having us. It was a fantastic blend of speeches, music, and motorsport passion - both full-scale and 1:32 scale!
