 It all started on Christmas morning in 2003 when I unwrapped a Scalextric TVR Challenge set. That spark for miniature motorsport never really went away, but for a long time, life - and business - took priority.

A Decade of Business Excellence

Before launching Adam's Scalextric Events, my partner, Emilie, and I spent a decade (2013–2023) running one of the UK’s largest online vintage clothing stores. We built the business from the ground up, employing a team of six and supplying wardrobe departments and creative teams for global powerhouses like Amazon, Netflix, ITV, ASOS, and the BBC.

That experience taught us the non-negotiable importance of deadlines, attention to detail, and what it takes to stand out in a crowded market. We understand that when a corporate client books an event, "good enough" isn't enough. We bring that same level of professional rigour, logistical planning, and brand understanding to every race track we build.

The "Aha!" Moment & Our Philosophy

In 2025, I revisited the hobby with this business mindset. I realised that with the right scenic design and professional execution, slot car racing could be more than a game - it could be a high-end brand experience.

We don’t just click track together; we build miniature immersive racing worlds. We have already proven this at the highest level, having recently delivered a bespoke track for the unveiling of a Porsche car. Whether it’s recreating a winter alpine pass for a luxury dealership or a branded circuit for a trade show, our goal is to make your guests feel like they are at a real raceway - just at 1:32 scale.

Meet the Team

This business is a partnership in every sense. Emilie isn't just the co-founder; she is the creative force behind our bespoke scenery and a vital part of our event team. We attend every event together. While I handle the technicals and the race direction, Emilie ensures the aesthetics are perfect and the guests are happy. She is also a fiercely competitive race coach - at a recent wedding, she coached a guest on her racing line until she set the fastest lap of the night!

Ambitions & Achievements

Based in Corby, Northamptonshire, we travel across the UK. We set high standards for ourselves from day one; our second ever event was a massive 4-day activation at the NEC Classic Motor Show. Our current bucket list? To take our tracks to an international event abroad, and to host a race night for a major automotive YouTuber (call us, Mat Armstrong!).

Off the Track

When I’m not fine-tuning digital lap counters, my time is monopolised by my two amazing daughters (aged 1 and 4). Scalextric is my escape—mostly from the stress of supporting Leicester City FC. I’m also an avid runner and completed the 2025 London Marathon, which was a test of endurance much like our 5-hour corporate races!
